These books also taught us that these natives where annihilated and with them, their culture and essence. Our wonderful discovery dismantles this theory and takes place during a road trip across the island aboard our faithful VW Combi "Lila". Over 500 years later, the TAÍNO culture is still vibrant and alive, and some say TAÍNO people still walk this land we continue to call QUISQUEYA.
